Champions Named for 2011 Champion Meet
The OSHY Swim Team is pleased to announce that Matt Grevers, Silver Medalist at the 2008 Olympic Games and Annie Chandler, USA National Team member are the 2011 Champions for the OSHY Champion Meet. More information will be coming soon in regards to the meet and a stroke clinic that Matt and Annie will be conducting on Saturday, November 19th after the PM session has concluded.

Updated Gold Practice Schedule
The Gold Group will be moving Saturday Practices to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The updated practice time will be from 7:15-9:45am. The pool is located in Albee Hall on Algoma Blvd. To view the UWO campus map (click here)

Please pass on my sincerest appreciation to the swim team parents who volunteered at this years Dragon Boat Festival (including yourself).  Their help with timing the races was invaluable.  As is typical the parents approached this job with the same care they give to YMCA Swim Meets.  As you know this was our first year timing the races without an independent contractor.  We had many comments from participants about the quality of starts, finishes and timing of the event.  Please give a special thank you to Michael Patton for securing the timing software and for planning out the whole process.  I knew when we asked the parents to help us out I didn’t have to worry about a sub-par job.  Everyone involved performed as well or better than the professionals we typically hire.

Practice Update for Tuesday, October 4th
Due to a High School Swim Meet at the 20th Avenue YMCA on Tuesday, October 4th from 5:30-8:00pm the practice schedule has been modified. The updated practice schedule for Tuesday, October 4th is below.

• Mini Dolphins: 4:30-5:30pm at the Downtown YMCA (normal Practice Time)
• Blue Group: 5:30-6:45pm at the 20th Ave YMCA (dryland only-bring gyms clothes and gym shoes)
• Gold Group: 5:30-7:00pm at the 20th Ave YMCA (dryland only-bring gyms clothes and gym shoes)
• Senior Performance: 7:00-9:00pm at the 20th Ave YMCA (dryland for the first hour, in the water the last hour)
